When asked to describe himself, Dennis remarked, "I'm a cynical optimist; when I wake up I know it's going to be a great day...until some pinhead ruins it for me." This cynical optimism is the product of a rebellious childhood, a liberal arts education, marriage, home ownership and fatherhood. He was also greatly influenced by Peter Pan who said, "I always want to be a little boy and have fun."
As a youth, Dennis was kicked out of both the Boy Scouts and Menudo. Always one to speak out against injustice, he has been arrested twice: once for fighting at a peace rally and once for inciting a riot at an N'Sync concert.

Dennis also served proudly in the U. S. Navy, often calling it the best nine
days of his life. He also spent the better part of a decade in college majoring
in debauchery. Before graduating, Dennis met his wife at college, the only woman
on campus who would date him. In addition to his wife he now has two daughters:
a nineteen year old named Valerie and a five year old girl named Surprise!
These influences are reflected in the act Dennis brings to the stage. Combining his optimistic personality with a cynical viewpoint, he sees the absurdity in his life. Enjoy his life with him in a show that is clever, original and very funny.

For the past 20 years he has worked nightclubs, campuses, corporate outings, private parties, opened for national musical acts, and has even emceed for a wrestling bear. A solid professional with a reputation to match, Piper annually produces and hosts the Ozzie Comedy Open, a two day comedy show and golfing event that funds a local college scholarship.

Among those Dennis has recently shared the stage with:
An insecure alcoholic with a lot of jokes about his
cat and dog.
A terrible emcee who got all the intros wrong five shows in a row. A
self-medicating guitar act desperately in need of a new set of strings.
Also two hacks, one magician, and a overly verbose woman with 30 minutes of stock premises and no
punch lines. He has also recently done shows with dozens of great, hard-working acts who bought
him drinks after the show without trying to get into his pants. |
